Welcome to Unseal ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this privacy policy carefully.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account or use the App, we collect information you provide, including:

• Email address
• Display name
• Profile picture (optional)
• Partner connection code
• Answers you submit to daily envelope questions
• Optional relationship goals, relationship duration range, and living situation

Relationship preferences are saved with your account when you choose to save them. You can skip these questions and later change or clear your preferences in Profile settings. Each partner chooses their own preferences. The onboarding example is a local demonstration; its answer is not submitted as an envelope answer.

2.2 Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information about how you use the App:

• App interaction patterns and streaks
• Device information and identifiers

2.3 Subscription Information

Apple handles App Store purchases. We use RevenueCat to process purchase and subscription information, including app account identifiers, purchased products, transaction information, subscription status, and expiration dates. This lets us verify purchases, restore access, and provide shared subscription access to connected partners. We do not receive your payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's core functionality
• Connect you with your partner for shared experiences
• Track your relationship journey and streaks
• Send notifications about daily envelopes
• Improve and personalize your experience
• Use saved preferences from both partners to select future questions for your couple
• Verify and manage subscription access, including purchase restoration

Your selected relationship goals, duration range, living situation, and local demo answer are not included in our personalization analytics events. Those events record screen visits and whether saving succeeded or failed, without the preference values.

4. Data Storage & Security

We store account information and envelope answers on our servers and use authentication and access controls to support the App. Connections to our API use HTTPS. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Your envelope answers are intended for you and your connected partner, not public posting. We and our hosting service providers process stored data to operate and maintain the service.

5. Third-Party Services

Our App may use third-party services for:

• Authentication (Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In)
• Push notifications
• Analytics and diagnostic reporting (Firebase)
• Purchase verification and subscription management (Apple and RevenueCat)
• Hosting and data storage

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your information. RevenueCat processes subscription-related data as described in its Privacy Policy.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data
• Opt out of non-essential data collection

7. Data Retention

We retain account information, saved preferences, envelope answers, and relationship history to provide your account and the App's features. You can change or clear saved relationship preferences in Profile settings, or delete your account from the App to remove its profile, preferences, and associated answers from our application database. Deleting your Unseal account does not automatically delete records held by Apple or RevenueCat or cancel an App Store subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account; contact us with other data-deletion requests.

8. Children's Privacy

Unseal is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
